Dr Mason has been my dogs saving grace over the past few years. He has performed 4 surgeries on three dogs. Surgeries have been TPLO (ACL tear, detachment) and luxating patella on two Jack Russell Terriers. I was told my male JRT would never be able to do agility.  I was devastated. Dr Mason assured me this was not the case. Jango has now earned his prestigious event in Elite agility competitions.  He also performed bilateral OCD to my 6 mo. border collie puppy. Both shoulders healed tremendously well. He is now 1 year of age and fully active in agility training with no restrictions. I have trusted Dr Mason with my dogs and will continue to do so. Should I need him again, I have no doubt I will travel across country to have him heal my dogs. I can’t thank you enough for all the good you have done.

For more than ten years, Dr. Dave Mason has been the surgeon for our Golden Retrievers, through several orthopedic procedures across multiple dogs. Each time, he got them back to happy, active lives after injuries that had our whole family worried. Not only has he been our surgeon, but he has been our confident in anything important relating to our dogs health.He is exceptionally skilled, and just as important, he is honest and clear with you at every step, from the first consultation through recovery. There is no one I would trust more with our dogs. Our dogs are family and Dr Mason treats them as such! Over the years he has also become a genuine friend, and as a fellow food lover, he is going to love Charleston. Charleston’s pet owners are lucky to have him.

I have had the privilege of knowing Dr. Mason for approximately 20 years now. We were having trouble with one of our young labs and were referred to Dr. Mason. Kini (our lab at the time) was having trouble walking and not only did Dr. Mason diagnose the problem, after a couple surgeries, Kini was able to walk and run again. A few years later I was starting an old truck and didn’t know my wife’s favorite cat was sleeping in the fan. Needless to say when I started the truck the cat was hurt extremely bad. After taking her to the vet here in Cedar City we were told we should put the cat to sleep. I called Dr. Mason as a last resort and he had me bring the cat to him. After a lengthy surgery he saved our cat and she lived to be 22 years old. The stories go on and on. A few years ago my dog “Doug” couldn’t walk at all and he was a yellow lab who was 8 years old at the time. Once again, I called Dr. Mason. After a surgery Doug was running like a pup about 3 weeks later. Dr. Mason also did the same thing for my dogs “Tank and Tonka”. They had leg issues as they got older and a few minor surgeries later they were running and playing again. I can’t say enough about Dr. Mason. Not only his skills but his honesty and the fact the he genuinely cares about the animals he is treating. I am truly grateful for all he has done for my animals and am also saddened that he will no longer be in my geographical proximity as I won’t know what to do the next time my dog or cat has an issue.

Dr Mason is amazing! I train and compete with my Border Collies in agility, and upon meeting Dr Mason for my first consultation, he was very attentive to all my concerns. My dog Church, at 7 months old, had a hitch to his gate, and I was concerned about an OCD lesion in his shoulder. Dr Mason was very detailed in his explanation of OCD, and even took to a dry erase board and drew a picture of what OCD is, and drew how he was going to fix it arthroscopically. I drove 4 hours for the consultation, and he said that I could leave him for the night, and he would do the surgery the next day. I was super impressed with how detailed and informative Dr Mason is. Church is now 5.5 years old, and is competing at a high level in agility without any issues. Fast forward 4 years, I get another Border Collie with all intentions of training for agility, and she showed a hitch in her gait at 7 months old. I contacted Dr Mason and he got my dog Saint in as soon as he could. Again, he listened to my concerns, did his exam, and told me she most likely has Elbow Dysplasia. He again took to the dry erase board and drew what elbow dysplasia is, and how he was going to fix it arthroscopically. She is now 10 months post op, and has no issues. I have total peace of mind that if I have any questions regarding either of my dogs, I could reach out to Dr Mason, and he will get back to me as soon as he can. I cannot rave enough about Dr Mason and his team. I am extremely grateful for his expertise. Highly Recommend Dr Mason!
